Open Tue–Fri 9am–4pm, until 30 September 2025, also Saturdays 13th and 20th of September 9am–2pm. Truffle-inoculated oak seedlings €25 each.
Expert guidance in English. Duration approx. 45–60 min.1 h, price €20/person, minimum 5 people.
The price of €25 includes coffee and a Karelian pie with truffle flavor.
The truffle safari includes a 3–4-hour tour with a presentation, truffle hunting demonstration with dogs, and truffle lunch, price €65/person. Minimum 6 persons. The truffle safari is also available with your own dog, in which case the price is €75 per person. The price includes advice on how to train your dog to hunt truffle.
Truffle Center will be closed in October 2025.
The worth of truffles
Truffles are known for their intoxicating flavor and aroma and are a prized culinary ingredient. Truffles can add to a fine-dining experience, or could be used to create a flavorsome experience from the simplest foods. Despite their culinary appeal, truffles are rare to find, and most of the truffles available come from the wild. This makes truffles exquisite.

We, at Juva Truffle Center, have begun our research on various health benefits of truffles. Our research has shown the possible use of truffles in treating diabetes, inflammation, as well as cancer. Truffles have also long known to be an aphrodisiac.
Why grow truffles?
The rare nature of truffles makes them valuable to the agricultural market. Growing truffles in rural areas provides employment opportunities as well as an extra income source to farmers. The use of various host plants to grow truffles also adds to afforestation, tackling some of the environmental issues. One could even grow truffles as a hobby.
